This policy explains how Halo Lineage handles personal information on halolineage.com and in the public demo at app.halolineage.com. When an office uses Halo Lineage in production, that office decides how its clients’ data is used, and we process it on the office’s behalf under a data processing agreement.
1. Who is responsible
For the website and the demo, the controller (database owner) is Halo Lineage (a company in formation in Israel; until incorporation, the website is operated by its founders). Contact: me@idanshchori.com.
2. What we collect
| Information | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Name, email, organization and anything you write to us | When you email us or book a walkthrough | To answer you and arrange a demonstration |
| Sign-in details for the demo (email, and name and picture if you sign in with Google) | When you sign in to app.halolineage.com | To give you access and keep the demo secure |
| Technical data: IP address, browser, device, pages requested, time | Automatically, in server and security logs kept by our hosting providers | To run, secure and fix the service |
| Your language choice | When you switch language | Stored only in your own browser, to remember it |
The website does not use advertising or analytics trackers. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
3. Please do not enter real financial data in the demo
The demo runs on fictional data. Do not upload or type real account details, identity numbers or financial information about yourself or anyone else.
4. Legal bases
Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: our legitimate interest in running and securing the website and answering business enquiries; the steps you ask us to take before entering a contract, such as a demonstration; and your consent where we ask for it. You may withdraw consent at any time.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run Halo Lineage, under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only for our instructions:
- Vercel, for hosting and delivering the website and the demo;
- Supabase, for demo accounts and sign-in;
- Google, if you choose to sign in with your Google account;
- our email provider, for messages you send us.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or users, or as part of a merger, acquisition or reorganization, subject to this policy.
6. International transfers
Our providers may process data outside Israel and the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards, and on the conditions of Israel’s Privacy Protection (Transfer of Data to Databases Abroad) Regulations.
7. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence for up to 24 months after our last contact, demo accounts until the demo access ends or you ask us to delete them, and security logs for the period our providers keep them, usually up to 90 days. We may keep information longer when the law requires it.
8. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and reputable providers. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Read more on our security page.
9. Your rights
Under Israel’s Privacy Protection Law, 1981, including Amendment 13, you may ask to see the information we hold about you and to correct or delete it. Where the GDPR applies, you may also ask us to restrict or object to processing, and to receive your data in a portable format. To use these rights, write to me@idanshchori.com. We will answer within the time the law sets. You may also complain to the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority or to the data protection authority where you live.
10. Children
The website and demo are intended for professionals and are not directed at anyone under 18.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and material changes will be highlighted on this page.
